Privacy policy

How the Tempo Android app and this website handle information.

Effective October 20, 2026

1. Operator and contact

Tempo is a personal time planning and recording app for Android. Contact the Tempo operator at oker04897@gmail.com for privacy or app enquiries. This policy covers the Android app (package com.thirtyprojects.tempo) and the Tempo website.

2. Plans and records on your device

Task names, dates, start times, categories, planned durations, actual time, timer state and completion records are stored locally in the app. Estimates based on previous tasks with the same name are also calculated on your device. Tempo does not send this content to a planner server, Firebase Analytics events or advertising requests. There is currently no account registration or Tempo server sync.

You can delete individual tasks in the app. Clearing app storage in Android settings removes local records and preferences, including any raw recovery copy preserved after a storage error. Uninstalling the app or changing devices may lose your records. Operating-system backup and restoration depend on your device settings.

3. Optional usage analytics — Firebase Analytics

Android analytics is off by default and starts only when you enable it. It helps us understand use of app features and improve them. You can turn it off in the app’s analytics settings. Opting out stops future collection and resets local Analytics data and the app-instance identifier. This does not instantly erase all previously transmitted data.

Tempo’s own instrumentation sends only fixed feature-event names (such as task_created and focus_completed) and screen names (today, focus and review). Events do not include task content, text you enter, task IDs, schedule dates or planned/actual duration values. Analytics advertising-ID and Android-ID collection and ad personalization are disabled in the app configuration.

When enabled, Google’s SDK can also process standard analytics data, including an app-instance identifier, session and basic usage information, app/device/OS information and approximate region. Not sending task content does not mean that no data is collected. See Google Analytics data collection.

4. Advertising and consent — Google AdMob

The Android app includes a Google AdMob banner integration. Release builds use the configured advertising unit; serving depends on Google account and app approval and ad availability. Development and verification builds use test advertisements. Ads are requested only after Google UMP reports that ads may be requested, with a consent form where required. Consent or SDK failures leave the planner usable without requesting ads.

Tempo requests nonpersonalized ads and does not target ads using task content. Nonpersonalized ads still involve data processing. Google Mobile Ads may process IP addresses (including for approximate location), device/advertising or app identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostics and device/network/SDK information for ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention. See Google’s advertising SDK data disclosure.

Where required, the app’s ad privacy control lets you reopen your choices. Declining personalization can still permit limited ads, depending on region and consent status. Analytics consent and advertising consent are separate. See Google UMP and Google’s privacy policy.

5. Website and email

This website has no analytics script, advertising SDK, account registration or signup server. Fonts and images are served from this site. Vercel may process connection data such as your IP address, requested URL and browser/device information to deliver and secure the website. See Vercel’s privacy notice.

The email enquiry link opens your email app. If you send an email, your email address and message are used to reply and provide the app information you requested. Clicking the button alone does not register an enquiry. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.

6. Retention, service providers and deletion

Local plans remain on your device until you delete them or app storage is cleared. Enquiry emails are retained while needed to handle your enquiry and requested follow-up, and deleted when no longer needed or when a deletion request is fulfilled, unless a legal retention obligation applies.

Google analytics and advertising data follow the relevant service retention settings and policies. Google and Vercel may process data outside your country, including in the United States. See Firebase privacy and processing locations, Google’s policy and Vercel’s notice.

Send requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction or withdrawal of consent to oker04897@gmail.com. We cannot remotely access or erase records stored only on your device. Because analytics does not receive an account or a user-entered identifier, we may be unable to associate previously transmitted analytics with a particular person contacting us; we will explain what action is possible.

7. Changes

When data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Where necessary, we will also provide an in-app notice or request consent again. Please contact us at the address above with privacy questions.
